ISEM Packaging Group announces the official opening of its new manufacturing and logistics platform in Trecate. A project that represents a significant milestone in the Group’s history and further strengthens its role as a partner to leading international luxury and premium brands.
The new site is located in the Novara area, one of Europe’s most dynamic regions for fashion, luxury and premium e-commerce. An ideal location for a modern production facility designed to enhance efficiency, production capacity and service quality.
With this opening, ISEM Packaging Group takes another important step forward in the development of an increasingly integrated industrial model, combining packaging, goods handling and co-packing within a single operational environment.
A new centre for a new phase of growth
The Trecate site is the result of a major industrial optimisation project that led to the integration of three former production facilities within the Group. The objective was to bring together expertise, technologies and processes within a single manufacturing platform, enhancing manufacturing excellence, coordination and production capacity.
The result is a site designed to support the Group’s growth and respond even more effectively to the needs of clients operating across the luxury, fashion, beauty and wines & spirits sectors, as well as premium consumer goods
A site spanning nearly 50,000 square metres
The new hub covers a total surface area of more than 49,000 m² and includes two buildings designed to ensure high functional throughput and maximum responsiveness.
Key figures of the site include:
- 47,597 m² dedicated to warehousing and logistics;
- 1,600 m² of office space;
- 23 loading bays;
- 253 parking spaces;
- 48 truck parking spaces;
- extensive areas dedicated to goods handling and storage.
The opening of the new facility enables the Group to consolidate within a single site activities that were previously spread across multiple facilities, ensuring an increasingly streamlined management of both production operations and the supply-chain flows associated with complex, high-value projects.
Production, logistics and co-packing within a single ecosystem
One of the defining features of the new centre is the integration of production, logistics and co-packing services. For more than twenty years, ISEM has developed a full-service model that combines packaging manufacturing with the receipt and storage of customers’ products, the assembly of these products into the boxes and cartons produced on site, and the subsequent management of warehousing and logistics operations. This approach enables greater control, flexibility and efficiency throughout the supply chain.
The new Trecate site takes this vision a step further, with a facility conceived from the ground up to optimise workflows, reduce complexity and support increasingly agile operations.
The concentration of activities within a single site reduces handling times, streamlines processes and further enhances the level of service offered to international clients.
Logistics therefore becomes an increasingly key asset rather than a simple support function, contributing directly to the competitiveness and responsiveness of the entire production ecosystem.
Technology investments to increase performance and flexibility
The opening of the new site has been accompanied by a significant technological upgrade programme aimed at further strengthening the Group’s core production capabilities.
These investments have enhanced key areas such as printing, embellishment, converting, assembly and co-packing, introducing new technologies and organisational solutions designed to improve productivity, quality and workflow agility.
Particular attention has been given to optimising production and logistics flows, with a facility designed to support greater automation, performance and an increasingly coordinated management of activities.
At the heart of one of Europe’s leading fashion and luxury districts
What makes the project particularly significant is not only the facility itself, but also its location.
Trecate lies within an area that has established itself in recent years as one of Europe’s leading logistics centres for the fashion and luxury industries, attracting significant investments from some of the sector’s most prominent players. As a result, the Novara-Trecate area has increasingly become known as the “Novara Fashion Valley”.
Its proximity to major Italian and European transport corridors, combined with the presence of key international operators, has transformed the Novara area into a strategic gateway for the management of global supply chains, particularly between the Mediterranean region, Northern Europe and the continent’s main markets.
For a Group serving international brands across the luxury, fashion, perfumery and cosmetics sectors, being present in this environment means benefiting from more efficient connections, greater operational flexibility and an even faster response to market demands.
The choice of Trecate therefore represents the natural evolution of a long-standing manufacturing heritage that today meets the growing requirements of international logistics.
Designed for sustainable growth
The new hub has been developed with a strong focus on environmental and energy performance. Designed according to high sustainability standards, the facility incorporates photovoltaic systems, low-consumption LED lighting and infrastructure for electric mobility, helping to reduce the environmental impact of day-to-day operations. The site is also expected to achieve LEED Gold certification, one of the world’s most widely recognised standards for sustainable building design and management.
The opening of Trecate is part of the Group’s broader ESG journey, which includes B Corp certification, the EcoVadis Gold rating and numerous initiatives dedicated to reducing environmental impact and advancing sustainable innovation in packaging.
A model for the future
With the new Trecate hub, ISEM Packaging Group further strengthens its ability to support leading international luxury and premium brands through a technologically advanced infrastructure strategically positioned at the crossroads of Europe’s main logistics corridors.
This investment further reinforces the Group’s ability to deliver comprehensive luxury packaging solutions, combining manufacturing expertise, innovation, value-added services and sustainable growth within an industrial model that is increasingly efficient, agile and future-oriented.
