ISEM BECOMES A BENEFIT COMPANY:
THE COMMITMENT TO FAVOR IS ENANCIED IN THE STATUTE
OF THE COMMON GOOD
Milan, June 2023 – With notarial deed of 27 June 2023 Isem modification
officially its statute and becomes a Benefit Company, thus sanctioning, also a
legal level, its vocation: blending entrepreneurial efficiency with the search for the Common Good.
A constant and concrete commitment over the years to be an increasingly sustainable company, and now the choice to modify the legal form itself, to make ethical values and principles
the distinctive features of its new nature: it is the decision of Isem Srl, to become a Benefit Company, a path taken so far by only a few hundred Italian companies.
The Vigevano company, founded in 1949 and parent company of Isem Packaging Group, is
specialized in the production of secondary packaging for the luxury markets, with more than 280 employees and a 2022 turnover of almost 74 million.
A Benefit Company is legally placed halfway between traditional and non-traditional companies
profit, which fully reinvest the profits in the activity carried out, without
distribute them. On the contrary, the Benefit Company does not give up profits and development, but its primary objective is to generate a positive social impact in line with the UN’s SDG objectives for Agenda 2030. It is a form of business introduced in Italy (first in Europe) to guarantee targeted interventions towards people, society, the environment,
culture and territory. In order to ensure high standards of responsibility and
transparency, the activity undertaken is constantly monitored and verified in the Sustainability Reports, which act as a balance sheet and guidelines to guide further developments.
